I was on a speaker’s panel earlier this week and the hot topic was social media. I was surprised at the number of people in a room full of mature marketing, technical and manufacturing people who had Facebook pages, just about everyone.
We discussed the value of brands being on Facebook and not surprisingly the consensus was that it’s worth tinkering with but no one knows for sure its real value or where it will go next.
I’m starting to find some good statistics online like this report from Vitrue about the click-thru-rates for Facebook by day of the week.
I didn’t get much more from the report other than this chart as they didn’t take a guess at a reason for the drop off on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. But a 6.76% average CTR caught my attention.
